Zeitgeist - 2007 - “Peter Joseph”
Someone suggested I watch this ages ago, and I declined.
What gets me most about this video is “Peter Joseph”, the film’s director.
Clearly the film is correct about many things, everyone has an agenda. Oil companies and arms companies make lots of money out of war in the middle east. But that’s fine, I know they are baddies, I understand their motivation. It’s not a secret.
“Peter Joseph” on the hand is a secretive character, presumably a pseudonym for the real director. I don’t know. But what is his motivation? What is his agenda?
If he had an imdb profile, or any easily google-able interviews, then maybe I could understand, and take his more absurd claims more seriously.
Michael Moore, whatever bad you want to say about him, he has a face. He is accountable. This guy is not.
Saying that I agree with some of what he is saying. The way he explains the “Jesus Myth” is very clear, and convinced me enough to blab it to anyone and everyone down the pub without doing any fact checking.
I’ll try and make time to watch the follow up “Addendum”!
